CRA’s Glynn Loope leaving Post

It was announced last week that Cigar Rights of America’s (CRA) founding executive director, J. Glynn Loope will be stepping down.  Loope began his stint at CRA’s formation in 2008 and will be officially leaving on November 4, 2020 after the Presidential election. Last year we interviewed Loope and you can find the post and audio here.

CRA was launched to fight for the rights of cigar consumers and retailers and Loope has led the charge to oppose oppressive legislation, foster support from members of Congress and the White House and tirelessly educate various medical and legal leaders on the importance of cigar culture in our communities.

Loope said, “It has been a privilege to champion the rights of adult consumers to enjoy a premium cigar. I am very proud of the work that CRA has accomplished giving a voice to the premium cigar community at the federal, state, and local levels.”  No successor has been named but Loope intends to play an integral part in the transition come November.- In Fumo Pax!
