Rescheduled: Big Smoke Meets Whisky Fest
On Friday, March 19, the editors at Cigar Aficionado announced that due to widespread national effects and concerns over COVID-19, the first-ever Big Smoke meets Whisky Fest would be pushed back from it’s original April 3-4 date. The widely anticipated event is being rescheduled to Saturday, October 31 on Halloween. This follows many other national events and activities that have been cancelled or postponed amidst fears of potential health risks and spread of the novel Coronavirus.
The Springtime showcase will still take place in Hollywood, Florida at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Full details have yet to be decided, but the event has been knocked down to a single day with Cigar Aficionado reporting, [that] “There will be cigar seminars in the morning and a grand tasting of cigars, whiskies and other spirits that evening.”
Cigar Aficionado also reported that those who have already purchased tickets to the April event will receive an official email regarding ticketing options and refunds in the near future. Those who have questions or concerns can contact event coordinators at firstname.lastname@example.org and are encouraged to regularly check the official Big Smoke meets Whisky Fest site for updates. – In Fumo Pax!
