In case you’ve never been “across the pond”, you’re probably not acquainted with the Geneva, Switzerland-based El Septimo Cigars. Launched in 2005, El Septimo was created from inspiration to enhance the selection of premium cigars available throughout Europe. El Septimo is unique in that it grows its own tobacco and produces its cigars exclusively in Costa Rica.

Adorning bands with just a simple, splash of color, El Septimo’s cigars are the result of painstaking blending with a focus on producing the very best cigars with regard to color, overall aesthetics and flavor.  Accumulating over 30+ lines in the last 15 years, the tobacco in all their cigars is aged for a minimum of 5 years, with some brands featuring 15-year old leaves. Most recently, El Septimo added 2 medium-bodied blends specifically tailored for women under their new Alexandra line.

El Septimo cigars are expected to be in the ultra premium price point range of $25 to over $50 per cigar. Earlier this year, El Septimo Cigars (now El Septimo Geneva SA) was recently acquired by the Younan Company, a purveyor of luxury products, real estate and services, but primarily serve as a global private equity firm.  Currently, distribution plans are being finalized; however, El Septimo cigars can currently be ordered online here and found in the following US locations:
