Bite Size Review: Drew Estate Herrera Esteli Norteño

It’s difficult to not be a fan of Drew Estate these days. From the blends of the Sasquatch himself, Steve Saka, to the wunderkind Willy Herrera, DE continues to pump out unique and highly enjoyable sticks. In fact, it seems Willy seems to hit nothing but home runs. The Norteño is the second smoke crafted by Herrera that bears his name. The first, Herrera Esteli, was an immediate hit and a cigar worthy of high praise. The Norteño is a box pressed Maduro with a delicious chocolate brown San Andres wrapper. The first thing you notice is how silky smooth it is – all the way to the nub. This is a full-strength cigar, but it smokes more medium-full and that’s because it’s so well balanced. The full bodied earthy profile, pepper and espresso meld nicely with nougat and cocoa. It’s done to perfection folks. Awesome build, combustion, flavor pallet and complexity. Not a fan of box-pressed cigars, but this is one I plan on keeping around. – In Fumo Pax!
