Bite Size Review: Macanudo Inspirado Orange

I’m a huge fan of the Macanudo 1968 Series and have been looking for Macanudo’s next “big thing”. I’ve been waiting a while. I think they have some good offerings, but nothing that was blowing my hair back. I first read about the new Inspirado line in an industry article and the Orange is what captured my curiosity. One reason is that it was launched only in Europe for “…the European palate…”, but the description was enticing, more so than that of the Black or White Series.

The Orange really struck pay dirt overseas and  ‘Muricans began clamoring for it. Macanudo did the smart thing and listened – and gambled. Again, it paid off as it was an instant hit, garnering a 92 rating and the #20 spot on Cigar Aficionado’s 2017 Cigar of the Year. Smoke an Orange and you’ll understand the hub bub – superb construction, delicious flavors, tantalizing aromas and a Taco Bell price point. – In Fumo Pax!
